Proper aftercare is essential to maximize your Microchanneling results and support healthy skin healing. Follow these guidelines to protect your skin and promote optimal collagen production after your treatment at Vyve Spa.
24 Hours After Microchanneling
Gently cleanse your skin with a mild, non-fragranced cleanser and apply a soothing, hydrating moisturizer.
Avoid using any skincare products with:
Fragrance
Active ingredients (Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Retinol)
Acids (AHA, BHA, Lactic Acid)
Physical exfoliants or scrubs
Astringent toners
You may notice temporary side effects like mild redness, swelling, flaking, or tightness. Keep your skin moisturized to minimize dryness and discomfort.
Avoid:
Exercise and sweating
Makeup application
Swimming or saunas
Direct sun exposure
Apply a mineral-based SPF 50+ sunscreen before going outdoors.
48 Hours After Microchanneling
If your skin feels dry or starts flaking, you may gently exfoliate with a soft washcloth — avoid chemical or harsh exfoliants.
If your skin still feels sensitive, continue hydrating and moisturizing twice daily and wait to exfoliate until the skin feels more comfortable.
3-5 Days After Microchanneling
Continue to apply sunscreen daily and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.
Focus on:
Hydrating serums
Gentle moisturizers
Avoiding active ingredients, acids, scrubs, and toners
7+ Days After Microchanneling
You can return to your regular skincare routine once your skin has fully healed.
Remember: Microchanneling increases skin sensitivity to the sun. Protect your results and prevent hyperpigmentation by applying a broad-spectrum, mineral-based SPF 50+ daily — even on cloudy days.

Skin Conditions Requiring Medical Clearance
If you have an active or abnormal skin condition, Microchanneling may not be appropriate or may need to be delayed until cleared by a medical provider. These conditions include:

Medication Use
